Two full days of practical learning sessions -- translation and terminology workshops (in Portuguese, English, and Spanish) -- for the professional translator and interpreter of health-related materials delivered by physicians and other health professionals with extensive experience in translation, and by professional translators and interpreters and other leading experts in their field.

Conference Tracks
Opportunities for skill-building, information-sharing, and networking. Choose from 22 Speakers, 23 Sessions, and 5 Conference Tracks:
Translation Workshops
(5 sessions, 10 hours total)
Hear and learn from leading practitioners in extended educational sessions (2 hours) about the translation and terminology in several fields of medicine, pharmacology and biological sciences.
Translation and Terminology
(11 sessions, 12.5 hours total)
Learn the ins and outs of the special medical jargon that keeps popping up in the texts you're asked to translate. 3 of these sessions will have an extended duration of 1.5 hours.
Medical Interpretation
(3 session, 3.5 hours total)
Hear and learn from leading players in the medical interpretation sector in the United States.
Professional Development
(4 sessions, 6 hours total)
Hear, learn and discuss about themes relating to your profession.
Professional Marketplace
(open throughout the Conference)
Market your services by displaying your résumé, brochures, and business cards while meeting with owners and managers of participating language services companies and networking with other Conference participants.
TRADOS Training Session for Corporate attendeesSDL TRADOS Information / Training Session

An extended Professional Development session (3 hours, FRI/17OCT, 09:30 thru 12:30), specially targeted to corporate attendees. Participation in this session is RESERVED to corporate attendees and is included in the Conference fee, but the number of attendees will be strictly limited, because of the availability of computers and to ensure a proper level of information retention. So, register the soonest you can.
